Here is the preface to my book. Tell me what you think.

Preface

Ever since I was a child, the very idea of death has struck fear into me. Once I came to the realization that it is a natural process that all humans go through, my mind was put minimally at ease.

There were times where I would ponder the ways in which I could die. I hoped, when that day did finally come, that it would be fast and painless; a heart attack in my sleep, perhaps. But I also considered the nobler of ways in which to depart from this life, like stepping in the path of someone else’s death.

I always thought myself too much of a wuss to die in that kind of a way. But as I stared the death of someone I truly cared for in the face, I knew it was the only thing I could to. The notion of regret never once crossed my mind, nor would it, especially when my worst enemy was the one that was going to do the killing.

So I did it.

I took a step forward.

Dedication

So I wrote a dedication to my book, and since it's part of the book, I figured I might as well put it up here...

For my loving & seemingly invincible mother,
for without you, life would not be worth living;
and for my wonderful Aunt Shirley,
for showing me how to be myself no matter what.

Hello

Hello. Ok, so I guess a self introduction is a place to start. My name is Marcus Willingham. I am 21 years old. I am currently a Nursing Student at SDSU in sunny San Diego, California.

I have created this blog to post sections of the book that I am writing, as well as any ramdom thoughts that I may have every now and again.

I look forward to reading your feedback on what I post!
